We used traditional Mission-Craftsman design elements and contemporary styling to create our Contemporary Mission Collection, giving them an authentic antique look. Get true Mission styling when you choose Quarter Sawn Oak with one of our period-correct Mission finishes, or choose another wood and finish color, for a more modern look. We invite you to explore the elements below, that accentuate the styling of our collection.
Mission-Craftsman Inspired Designs
Drawing on Mission ideals, we combined the Mission design characteristics of clean vertical lines and flat panels, with the embellishments that are typical of the Craftsman movement, to create our Contemporary Mission Collection. Our contemporary designs will complement any décor style or feel right at home with your existing Mission furniture.
Reproduction Mission Finishes
Our six-step finishing process was developed to replicate actual Mission-Stickley finish colors, originally developed in the early 1900’s. This process allows us to enhance the distinctive ray and fleck figuring that Quarter Sawn White Oak has to offer, with four beautiful finishes that are truly authentic.
Craftsman Style Embellishments
We incorporated a variety of Craftsman styling into our designs. Our use of chamfered decorative posts, gracefully arched rails, our signature black walnut pyramid plugs and uniquely designed corbels accentuate are designs with timeless styling.
Contrasting Black Walnut Pegs
Our contrasting black walnut pegs give our peg racks rustic two-tone styling, typical of the time period, adding an attractive styling element to the design, and enhancing the look of our Mission Peg Rack Collection.
Period-Style Hooks
Our sand-casted hooks closely replicate designs from the Mission-Stickley era, and feature a rustic, hand-made esthetic, typical of the time period. Available in two styles, these sturdy hooks have a matte black finish that will stand up to years of use, and enhance the look of these beautiful reproductions.
